The black comedy circuit is responsible for introducing and launching the careers of many well known household names. Comedians such as Richard Blackwood, Mo The Comedian, Judy Love, Robbie Gee, Geoff Schumann, Curtis Walker, Kojo and Slim all started on the circuit.
These comedians plus many more, entertained live audiences of thousands nationally and internationally before going on to star in TV, film and radio.
AUDIENCES
The black comedy circuit has the most diverse audience of all of the UK comedy circuits. People of all races, religions and backgrounds come to enjoy the shows and events.
The circuit was born out of frustration, to give comedians from ethnic backgrounds that were ignored by the mainstream circuit a platform. Over time it has become the home for all comedians who feel marginalised or not accepted by the mainstream.
This is reflected in the people that attend the events, people from all walks of life that feel welcome and at home.
